It is with great pleasure that we announce Teach For Malaysia as one of our newest affiliation! Have you ever heard about Teach For Malaysia?
Teach For Malaysia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to recruiting, selecting and training top graduates and young professionals to teach in high need schools across Malaysia for two years. The reality is that a child's origin often determines their life outcomes, and our battle is against education inequity: the idea that your socio-economic status has a direct correlation to your educational opportunities and achievement. We believe that the best teachers, however, can truly transform the life outcomes of these students, and those are the kinds of teachers we aim to produce.
Do you believe that education is one of the most pressing issue which needs to be address in Malaysia at the moment? If yes, what are ways to help create equal opportunities in education? One of it is through public policies of course! In order to end education inequity, we need to focus on what roles these public education policies will bring for the education of these children. So as future public policy makers who seek such opportunities to contribute ideas, what are you waiting for? Registration for the MPPC 2012 is open till 12th August 2012!
